I must agree with the others: how disingenuous of Mr. Coleman to castigate others for using anonymous or other aliases when he himself is forever trying desperately to hide behind one headline-like screaming pseudonym after another such as "Hand-Picked Constituional [sic] Convention" used in this thread. Of course, his rants are inimitable so everyone can see through his "disguises," and only when called out will he (again) go on the defensive about others hiding while he--wonder of wonders!--has a name! The remark about him committing character suicide is precious--and oh, so true!

I know nothing about Mr. Elhady except that, in City Council, when I wear a "Boycott Israel" sign, he refuses to even make eye contact-- but that is true for every member of the City Council, and for every candidate for City Council. As millions more Muslims are murdered, the City Council will keep plugging its ears. Shame on all of them.
Is Mr. Elhady is willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead in U.S. politics-- which means dead silence as Palestine is humiliated, robbed, and murdered? Up until today, for both Higgins and Elhady, the answer is yes. The Zionists obviously fear that one day he will find his conscience, when it comes to Palestine. But I have seen too much of U.S. politics to ever believe that will happen, to any member of City Council.
Those City Council members who are found, by the War Crimes tribunal at the Hague, to have actively promoted Israel's genocide against Palestine -- they will have to answer to the Hague. Remember that the German government never imagined that they would be held accountable for their actions. Yet they were.
U.S. officials may also imagine that international law will never reach them, as they give $300 billion to Israel. But they are wrong.

I have to wonder, where did the Daily's idealism go? - The Daily endorses SABRA BRIERE? It is like stop in 20th century.
Interesting how the Daily cites “Briere’s experience” as the primary reason for supporting her over “Ozog’s fresh perspective” and then backs Elhady over Higgins for exactly the opposite reason. Could it be their eagerness to endorse Elhady is merely because he is a student? Such inconsistency lends credence to an earlier commenter’s remarks wherein he or she cited naivety on the part of the Daily’s editors in the political arena, exactly what we don’t need in City Council. Higgins’ known approach, even with her faults is by far the safer bet than the unknown quantity of Elhady.
And, Mr. Coleman, in his usual knee-jerk racist-tinged hysteria would accuse any Arab such as Khaled Abu Toameh who doesn’t take an unhinged and unbalanced view towards Israel as Coleman does of not being a true Arab, thus revealing why his desperate desire to see Elhady elected is a good cautionary note to all voters of the 4th Ward. The problem is certainly not Elhady’s name or ethnicity—although out-of-control Blaine Coleman springs to this conclusion with absolutely not a shred of evidence to uphold his opinion just as with the rest of his off-kilter views—but the company that he keeps. If Mr. Coleman and his widely discredited views are so ardently behind Mr. Elhady, there must indeed be more there than meets the eye. if i am not mistaken, on one of his own websites elhady, among other legitimately praiseworthy credentials, lists his membership in SAFE...a student group that hosted a notorious holocaust denier, and has been joined at the hip with the very people against whom the MSA passed its recent amendent to restrict meeting hi-jacking, and who consistently try the same stuff at city council meetings ( i.e the blaine "fuckisrael" coleman crew) . blaine and others of that lot have weighed in for elhady on the "arbor update" website.
i am not aware that elhady has said anything on this matter in his campaign, but given the history of such nonsense suspicions are there for many re a stealth candidacy on the "boycott israel" matter being intruded into the city council itself.

It has been about 30 years since Ann Arbor had a student on Council. Wouldn't you like to be represented? I am well past my UM years, but feel ignored by the incumbent. I can't imagine that she has much contact with students if she ignores homeowners like me.
