It's a very different concept than that of any other production, which is probably what makes it so interesting....it's good that the cast has already given a heads-up about potentially inappropriate material that may not be suitable for some viewers, and although I have not yet seen it myself, I'm looking forward to this Friday, on the YouTube premier. I doubt it is crossing the line, especially in theater, and I'm definitely pleased with this review, which gives me a good idea about what to expect without giving anything away.
I think it's great that these students are devising their own material. It's exactly what they should be doing in this uncertain world of theater, where producers seem to bring in film and TV stars to ensure success (well, not always, see AFTER MISS JULIE) and regularly shy away from presenting new work. The next step is to start their own theatre (like the Steppenwolf people) and really forge a niche for themselves in the theater industry.
