Please, let's not ever compare Michigan basketball fan support to any school that is serious about the sport.

the lack of support is pathetic and embarrassing, and you better believe people notice. The excuses are tired. If students don't want to support the program, fine. In a way Michigan fans get what they deserve when it comes to this program.
i wouldn't call it pathetic. this will be my fourth year buying season tickets (third year buying student tickets). It's a major time investment. I love it, but I completely understand why students are reluuctant. Season tickets means you're devoting 3-6 hours a week (during the week, not often on a saturday) to basketball. That's tough to do during school. Especially harder if you have to work.
The incentive simply is not there. The product was awful last year and the price is still high. Last year I payed just as much for basketball tickets as I did for football. This year I payed about $30 less for basketball. It's a lot of money to spend and a lot of time to devote.
But I love it. I'll be there and the Maize Rage will be rocking, just watch.
With such a large student body, it's so pathetic that only 400 + students want season tix? No wonder we can't get any top recruits. Let's support this team!
