Medical School Prof. Douglas Smith finally got the chance to speak to the Michigan Student Assembly last night about his concerns over the Department of Public Safety Oversight Committee. His comments came after months of pushing members of the assembly’s executive board to meet with him regarding those concerns.

At last night’s meeting, the Michigan Student Assembly approved a resolution to enact its fall 2009 budget, officially starting all MSA activities for the semester.

MSA considers health care help for students

The resolution stated that individuals from ages 19 to 29 make up the largest group of uninsured individuals in the country, which the authors said makes the legislation a significant issue for college students.
